Zeolite is a unique amendment to add to ALL types of soil.  It can only benefit plants.  
For customers who tell me that they have a hard time keeping succulents alive, this is what I recommend.  Zeolite coarse gritty sand will not only improve drainage but it also CLEANS the water supply and removes any potential harmful microbes in the soil.  I recommend mixing in 1 cup per gallon of houseplant soil mix.  And 2 cups per gallon for a grittier mix to use for cacti and succulents
